South Korea and Japan will kick off the annual Pinx Cup women's golf competition on Saturday, organizers said Wednesday.

A total of 26 players, including U.S. Open champion Park In-bee, Lee Ji-hee from South Korea, and Akiko Fukushima and Yuri Fudoh from Japan, will compete in 24 rounds from Dec. 6-7 in South Korea's resort island of Jeju.

The Pinx Cup, which began in 1999, is a two-day team event drawing the top women golfers from the two countries.
