Brazilian veteran Edmundo confirms retirement on Sunday

Brazilian football veteran Edmundo announced later Tuesday that he would mark the end of his career this Sunday after a match of the Vasco da Gama club in the first division of the Brazilian championship, reported local media on Wednesday.

"This is not back. We define everything in my head," said the player of 37 years. He started his career in Vasco in 1992.

Edmundo trained normally on Tuesday in San Gennaro and will take part in the match on Sunday against the Victoria club.
