Celtics manage win over Pacers in overtime
Adjust font size:

The league-leading Boston Celtics won their 12th consecutive game on Sunday, defeating the Indiana Pacers 122-117 in overtime with Ray Allen scoring a season-high 35 points.

Paul Pierce's clutch three-pointer leveled the score at 105 with seven seconds left in regulation and the defending champions (20-2) never trailed in extra play to avenge their only road loss of the season.

Kevin Garnett had 20 rebounds, 17 points and five steals. Pierce also finished with 17 points.

Marquis Daniels had 26 points for Indiana, who beat Boston 95-79 on Nov. 1, while Danny Granger pitched in with 20.

Indiana is one of two teams to beat Boston this season, and the Pacers nearly pulled it off again by shooting 50 percent from the field against the league's top defensive team.

It was the most points the Celtics have allowed this season.
