Adjust font size:

Argentina head coach Diego Maradona said on Wednesday that he wants Juan Sebastian Veron to be part of the national team, since he is "one of the best."

Maradona said that Veron, who plays for Estudiantes de la Plata,is "one of the best in the world", adding "(he) will seek a place for the player."

Maradona also said that "it is not necessary" to talk with Lionel Messi and Juan Ramon Riquelme about their supposedly personal differences, because at the national team "everybody is on the same side."

"Riquelme is great, is a man with experience, and Messi is a nice boy, but at any moment the team needs him.
