Adriano decides to head back to Italy
Adjust font size:

Inter Milan's Brazilian striker Adriano declared on Monday that he is ready to return to Italy.

The player came to Brazil to participate in the national team's qualifier for the 2010 World Cup against Peru on April 1 but had not returned to Italy since.

The Brazilian media has been rife with speculation about what has happened to the player but Inter coach Jose Mourinho has already said he did not consider it to be a case of indiscipline.

Once one of the world's most fearsome strikers, Adriano has struggled with fitness and alcohol problems since the 2006 World Cup and shown only little sign of his previous form since then.
