Maradona slams talk of Argentine coaching team spat
Adjust font size:

Soccer celebrity Diego Maradona, who is coaching Argentine national squad, on Tuesday denied media reports that he has fallen out with Carlos Bilardo, the team's manager, saying that "no one is going out" from the coaching staff.

"He (Bilardo) knows his role, we speak all the time and I don't see why I have to clarify anything," Maradona said.

Speaking for the first time in Buenos Aires after the team's crushing 6-1 loss to Bolivia in last week's World Cup qualifier, Maradona said: "We are all in the wrong. Nobody expected this disaster."

"Yes we suffered it, but let's hope this will turn into victory snatched from the jaws of defeat," he said.
