Sonja Pfeilschifter, 38, and Munkhbayar Dorjsuren, 39, both from Germany, swept the two gold medals at stake Tuesday at the shooting World Cup in Milan, Italy.

It was the second win in three days for Pfeilschifter, the world record holder in both women's rifle events, as she claimed the 50-meter rifle three positions title after winning the 10-meter air rifle event last Saturday.

Qualified for the final with 585 points, two points less than the leader Lidija Mihajlovic of Serbia, Pfeilschifter fired a fantastic final round of 101.9 points and grabbed the gold medal just two days after her win in the 10-meter air rifle event.

The 40-year-old Mihajlovic shot an 8.9-point on the second shot of the final, giving the lead to Pfeilschifter and thus took the silver medal with a total score of 685.3 points.

The bronze medal went to Chinese youngster Wan Xiangyan, who fought with Jamie Beyerle from the United States until the last shot. Wan, 22, finished on the podium for the third time this year with a total of 684.1 points, just 0.4 points ahead of Beyerle.

Dorjsuren, born in Mongolia, held her leading position from the qualification to the end of the final, winning in the women's 25-meter pistol event by a total of 789.9 points, just 0.5 points ahead of Chinese youngster Yuan Jing.

Yuan, 22, defeated Dorjsuren in the final round of the same event in Munich last week and was crowned for the first time in her career.

"I really want to win again at the same shooting position over the same opponent," said Yuan, who shot 49.7 points in the first five-shot series, about two points less than the other three series. "I did have chance in the final, but I failed to well control myself. It was a pity."

Lalita Yauhleuskaya of Australia, 46, climbed to the third position with a total score of 785.2 points after edging into the final through a qualification shoot-off.
