National Basketball Associations' Washington Wizards have traded their fifth pick in Thursday's draft and three players for the Minnesota Timberwolves' Mike Miller and Randy Foye.

"Their skills compliment our core very well and they will provide a boost as we re-establish ourselves as a contender in the Eastern Conference," Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld said in a statement.

The Timberwolves acquired reserves Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov while adding the number five pick to their sixth, 18th and 28th first round selections.
