Sri Lanka won the 7th Asian Netball Championships beating Singapore in the finals on Sunday in Malaysia, the Sri Lankan government said in a short statement.

According to the statement issued by the Department of Government Information, three-time champions Sri Lanka were in excellent form, having won all four preliminary round matches by comfortable margins.

Singapore, Thailand, the Maldives, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India and Pakistan were the other teams taking part in this year's Asian Netball Championship.
