Chinese athletes set world records in 10m speed climbing

Chinese athletes Zhong Qixin and He Cuilian set world records in men's and women's 10 meters speed climbing apiece in Wednesday's competition of the 2009 World Climbing Championship in Xining, northwest China's Qinghai province.

In the men's 10 meters speed climbing final, Zhong Qixin, already a world record holder in the men's 15 meters speed climbing, only took 4.20 seconds to reach the top.

In the women's final, He Cuilian set a new record of 5.31 seconds.
