Garcia, a former Spain's under-21 international, is a product of the Real Madrid youth system. He spent the 2007-2008 season on loan at Osasuna, but returned to Real Madrid for the 2008-2009 campaign, he was unable to win a regular first team place.

He made only 15 Primera Liga appearances, starting just 5 games and playing a total of 518 minutes.
