Isinbayeva wins women's pole vault at Shanghai

Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva won the women's pole vault at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix here on Sunday.

Isinbayeva, who just set a new world record of 5.06 meters at the World Athletics Finals, cleared 4.85 meters for the title. She tried to break the world records but failed in three attempts at 5.07 meters.

Anna Gogowska of Poland and her compatriot Monika Pyrek, who finished 1-2 at the Berlin world championships, was second (4.60) and third (4.50) respectively.
