Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez takes his side to Germany on Tuesday knowing that a win will all but assure his side its place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Sevilla has kicked off its European campaign with two wins and a triumph away to Stuttgart should all but seal its mathematical qualification for the last 16.

The side from the south of Spain has had a strange three weeks: winning 4-1 away to Glasgow Rangers before defeating Real Madrid in the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

However, last Saturday saw Sevilla crash 1-0 away to Deportivo la Coruna to once again raise doubts about Jimenez's long term future as coach at what has become an increasingly demanding club.

Sevilla travels to Stuttgart without injured goalkeeper Andres Palop, who will again be substituted by Javi Varas.

Right back Abdoulay Konko is also sidelined with flu, while midfielder Renato has problems with a calf muscle and Alvaro Negredo has a fever.

The good news is that central defender Sebastian Squillachi, who has shaken off a groin strain, will return, although Jimenez has been forced to include youngsters Dani Jimenez and Jose Carlos Fernandez in his squad.

Adriano will continue at right back for the match, while Luis Fabiano returns in attack to partner Freddy Kanoute.
