Houston Rockets forward Trevor Ariza said on Monday he was handed one-game suspension after being ejected from Sunday's game in Toronto for throwing a forearm at Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan.

Ariza said that he'll have to sit out Tuesday's game against Detroit. NBA spokesman Tim Frank would not immediately confirm the suspension, saying that "no decision has been made."

The 6-foot-8 Ariza is Houston's second-leading scorer, averaging 17 points. He's started the Rockets' first 23 games and leads the team in minutes, 38.7 per game.

He went 0-for-9 from the field and scored only one point before he was ejected in the third quarter for swinging his arm at DeRozan following a steal.
