The Clipper yacht named Jamaica Lighting Bolt expects to have world's fastest man Usain Bolt, also the yacht's sponsor, as crew member during the race before the Jamaica's stopover, said the skipper of the yacht.

"We are expecting that our sponsor, Usain Bolt, will come on board as a crew member during the race from Panama to Jamaica, which is the shortest race, but it has not been decided yet," said Peter Stirling, the skipper of the clipper yacht named after the holder of double world sprint records, in a press conference on Wednesday.

Usain Bolt, symbol of the current fastest man on earth, broke many records in recent couple of years. "It's a great pleasure to be a sailor of the Jamaica Lighting Blot yacht, and our crew members are trying our best to achieve what he has achieved," Peter Stirling said.

The Yacht, Jamaica Lighting Bolt, arrived in Qingdao on February 21 to take the second place in Round 6 of the race and is currently the 3rd spot. The fleet is scheduled to depart from Panama on May 12 and arrive in Jamaica between May 16 and May 18.

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, held every two years, is the largest amateur yacht race in the world. The fleet of the race came to Qingdao for a 10-day stopover and will leave for California on March 2.
