Charles Gaines' amazing performance gifted Xinjiang a 110-89 win over Qingdao on Friday in the 27th Round of the China Basketball Association (CBA) league.

The 2.04m forward Charles pocketed a game-high 47 points and 13 rebounds as well as an assist, his teammate Menk Bateer, a former NBA player, notched 8 points. Zhao A' Nan from Qingdao team snatched a team-high 30 points.

Menk Bateer got the ball at the opening tip-off and helped his teammate Charles Gaines scored first two points for Xinjiang, which dominated the first quarter and had an 18-point lead.

Qingdao made a comeback in the rest time to level the score, but their forward was tightly marked once they drove the ball to Xinjiang's half, and their shooting attempts ended only as scares and cheers from the stadium.

Qingdao team is scheduled to compete with Liaoning team on February 28.
