The FINA Diving World Series will be held next year in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, said an official of China's State General Administration of Sports (SGAS) in Qingdao on Friday.

Zhou Jihong, deputy director of the National Aquatics Sports Management Center of SGAS, delivered this message at a press conference of the 2010 FINA Diving World Series in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China.

"We have signed a contract with the International Swimming Federation to hold the FINA Diving World Series together in the following three years. It will be held in Guangzhou next year and the host cities of 2012 and 2013 have not been selected." Zhou said.

Attracting 56 top-class divers of 12 countries and regions, the FINA Diving World Series in Qingdao will be held from March 27 to March 28.

The FINA Diving World Series, which was started in 2007, covers three or four stops every year and will have Wilson Cruz of Mexico and Sheffield of England as the other two stops this year.
