Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) told its official website recently to delay the kickoff of tickets sale due to schedule changes on competitions.

According to the GAGOC, the launch of first part of the grand event's tickets was initially planned on Feb. 28, but will be postponed to May 20th as the Olympic Council of Asia and its member sports federations are making adjustment to some of the Games competitions.

The main part of tickets for the 16th Asian Games, slated on November 12-27, will start selling in October through the website as well as the box offices and booking outlets, with over two million tickets for public sale.

According to a source close to the GAGOC's market department, the tickets for opening and closing ceremonies of both the Guangzhou Asian Games and the Paralympic Asian Games are now unavailable since the main stadium for the ceremonies is still under construction.
