Argentine international Manu Ginobili signed Friday a 39 million U.S. dollars contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs for another three yeas.

The 32-year-old All-Star player, who could be put on the NBA free agent market, said that he was hurt as the Spurs delayed doing a deal to keep him but all the hard feelings were in the past with the extension.

Since the All-Star break in February, Ginobili has averaged 22 points per game as he carried the injury packed team to 17 victories in 24 games.

"I was a little upset, then understanding, then I just let it go," he said. "I went through all the moods possible. Now it's gone, and we're good friends again. We love each other again."

Ginobili, having played all his NBA season with the Spurs, suffered an ankle injury in the 2008 playoffs, and missed all of last year's playoffs after breaking his other ankle.
