Chinese Zhang Yanquan/Caoyuan won the men's 10m platform synchro gold medal with 466.56 points at the FINA Diving World Series held in Mexican city Veracruz on Tuesday.

The Mexican pair Ivan Garcia/German Sanchez took the silver with 443.34, while Cuban Jose Guerra/Jeinkler Aguirre finished the third in 441.21.

It was the third gold medal the Chinese pair won at the the FINA Diving World Series, repeating their success during the first two stops, which were held in Qingdao, China, in March and in Veracruz last week.

After closing of the second stop of the FINA World Diving Series, FINA decided to celebrate the third and last stop in the same city instead of Sheffield in Britain, because of the air traffic halt in various European countries due to the volcanic ash from Iceland.
