China's national basketball team led by new head coach Bob Donewald will make it's debut playing against Argentine players on Friday.

Donewald is now training the team at Beicang training base in southeast China's Zhejiang province. Besides training, Donewald also began to rectify the discipline. As a result, player Zhang Bo who is believed to have much potential, was kicked out of the team on June 10, for breach of team discipline.

The Argentine team, which is coming to Beicang to play against Chinese national basketball team, is comprised of young players who are said to attend the 2012 London Olympics, according to Zhang Xiong, leader of the Chinese natioanl basketball team.

"The match against Argentina is for my players to be adapted to competition atmosphere," said Donewald.

Donewald, former NBA assistant coach with the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers, was appointed head coach of China's national basketball team in April. The American promises to make the basketball-crazy country proud of the squad.
