Chinese Kang wins three golds at junior's weightlifting worlds

Chinese Kang Yue won all gold medals in the women's 69kg class in the Junior World Weightlifting Championships on Friday.

Kang lifted 111kg and jerked 140kg for a combined weight of 251kg to sweep the golds.

Leidy Yessenia Solis Arboleda of Columbia took the silvers at a total of 247kg, 108kg in the snatch and 139kg in the clean and jerk competitions, while Russian Mariya Zubova settled for the bronze medals at 232kg, snatching 105kg and jerking 127kg.

Later on Friday, men's 85kg competitions will be under way.

In the four women's categories finished from Monday to Thursday, Chinese weightlifters swept all the 12 gold medals.

There are 270 junior weightlifters, 170 men and 100 women, participating in this championships ending on Sunday.
