Chinese sportswear brand Peak wants to sign more top-level players from the National Basketball Association (NBA) league next season.

Peak Ltd. CEO Xu Zhihua said here on Monday, "We're contacting and talking with a couple of NBA players and agents. I cannot disclose the names of the players, but we do want to have more top-level players wearing Peak shoes next season."

Two players from the champions Los Angeles Lakers, Ron Artest and Sasha Vujacic, are signed players of the Peak, which, Xu claimed, has 12 NBA players under contract.

"There were three Peak's players playing in the Conferences Finals last season, including (Jason) Richardson from the Pheonix Suns. We want more NBA players like Artest and Richardson to join in the Peak," Xu added.

Peak has set up a branch in L.A. to search and negotiate with NBA players for co-orperation.

"We are one of the biggest sneaker brands in the NBA. We want to be the best," Xu vowed.
