Lithuanian national basketball team's coach said on Sunday that he was happy with his team's victory against Canada in Sunday's world championship game.

Lithuania's team struggled hard and displayed a very good performance at its game against Canada, Lithuania's coach Kestutis Kemzura said at a press conference in the Aegean province of Izmir.

"It has been a good day for us," Kemzura said, adding the Canadian team's tactics were also successful.

Commenting on Tuesday's match with Spain as well, Kemzura said Lithuania would do its best to defeat Spain in the upcoming game.

Canada's technical director Leo Rautins said that Lithuania had pushed his team hard although Canada was more experienced.

Canada's players displayed intense efforts, but they could not prevent defeat eventually, Rautins noted.

Lithuania defeated Canada 70-68 in Group D of 2010 World Basketball Championship in Izmir on Sunday.

In another game in central province of Kayseri in the same day, Angola defeated Jordan 79-65 in Group A of the FIBA 2010 World Basketball Championship.
