China takes men's top four in China Masters badminton

The Chinese men shuttlers swept the top four spots while their compatriots occupied three of the top four places in the women's singles, the women's doubles and the mixed doubles at the China Masters Super Series here on Friday.

In the men's singles, Bao Chunlai beat Christian Lind Thomsen of Denmark, 21-15, 21-16, while Lin Dan downed Hu Yun of Chinese Hong Kong 22-20, 21-15.

The other two semifinal spots were taken by Wang Zhengming who beat Lee Hyun-Il of South Korea 21-18, 21-17, and Chen Long who downed Chen Chou Tien of Chinese Taipei 21-12, 21-11.

In the women's singles, Wang Yihan, Wang Xin and Wang Shixian, the top three seeds in the tournament, won their all-Chinese affairs for the semifinals, with the other spot taken by fourth seed Tine Baun of Denmark who defeated Pi Hongyan of France 21-8 and 21-17.
