World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki set up a final clash with U.S. Open champion Kim Clijsters after she beat No. 2 Vera Zvonareva 7-5, 6-0 in the semifinals of WTA Championships on Saturday.

Wozniacki, the youngest player to end the year No. 1 since Martina Hingis in 2000, raced to 4-1 and then fended off a comeback from the in-form Russian to win the first set.

The 20-year-old Dane was unstoppable in the second set, losing just four points to take the semifinal win.

Clijsters put aside a car accident scare en route to Khalifa Complex to beat Sam Stosur of Australia 7-6 (3), 6-1 in the first semifinal.

Clijsters said a truck collied with her courtesy car at a roundabout, damaging the right front door. She said her manager suffered minor cuts.

Wozniacki, with 12 singles titles under her belt, will expect to reap the biggest win of her career when she faces the Belgian, winner in 2002 and 2003, on Sunday.
