Figure Skating Grand Prix final backs to Beijing

The 2010 Grand Prix of Figure Skating final will be held in Beijing for the second time from December 9 to 12 at Beijing Capital Gymnasium, announced a top official of the China winter sportsĀ in BeijingĀ on Tuesday.

"This is the second Grand Prix final that China host since 2004, " said Zhao Yinggang, director of China's Winter Sports Administrative Center, "We are ready to host the tournament and hope the figure skating fans in Beijing would enjoy the gala at the Beijing Capital Gymnasium."

As the final of this season's figure skating Grand Prix, the top level international figure skating competition, the tournament has attracted 84 skaters from 11 countries and regions.

The elite skaters include China's ace pairs skaters Pang Qing/Tong Jian, Olympic silver medallists and two-time world champions from Germany, Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy.
