China claimed two gold medals on Saturday at the ISU World Cup short-track speedskating event in Changchun, the capital of northeast China's Jilin Porvince.
Zhao Nannan led a clean sweep of medals for China in the women's 500m when she crossed home in 44.100 seconds, followed by compatriot Liu Qiuhong and Fan Kexin.
Han Jialiang took the men's 500m title in 42.447 to hand the host country its second gold in the two-day World Cup event.
But Zhou Yang, the Vancouver Olympic champion for the women's 1,500m, finished a disappointing fifth after she slipped midway the seven-and-a-half race.
"It was unexpected. This mistake ruined the chance to compete with her," said American Katherine Reutter, who won the 1,500m event in 2:27.904.
"Today is my first time to compete with Zhou. I could feel that she is a very strong opponent," she added.
"Today she fell down, which is very regrettable. I still think Zhou Yang is the most competitive rival," said South Korea's Cho Ha-Ri.
