Coach of the Uruguayan soccer national team Oscar Tabarez named on Monday a list of 26 players for the World Cup of South Africa 2010, without forward Cristian Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, who plays for Portuguese club Porto, was part of the team during the preliminaries, but he was to cover a sanction of two matches in the coming World Cup.

Among the summoned players are captain Diego Lugano of Fenerbahce, Nicolas Lodeiro of Ajax and Diego Forlan of Ateltico de Madrid.
