Argentina beat Nigeria 1-0 and routed South Korea 4-1 in the first two group matches while Greece lost to South Korea 2-0 and defeated Nigeria 2-1.

Lionel Messi continued his possession of the ball as at the 10th minute, the forward from Barcelona club beat two defenders but was tackled.

At the 18th minute, Argentina's Sergio Kun Aguero hit the ball, which was claimed by Greece's goalie Alexandros Tzorvas.

Argentina's dominance in the game was even stronger at the 23rd minute when Messi beat two opponents again.

No good chance came until in the stoppage time, but Messi's deep curl went over the crossbar.

The Argentines had a 65 percent of the possession, and made eight shots on goal to Greece's zero in the first half.

The Abliceleste still held the ball possession but their defence was challenged in the second half. In the 48th minute, Georgios Samaras stood a good chance to break the deadlock but his shot went off target. Twelve minutes later, it was Samaras again but his shot went wide.

In the 69th minute, Mario Bolatti of Argentina smacked the ball onto Tzorvas, who was well positioned to claim the ball.

Messi again in the 69th minute, who conceded a free-kick but Tzorvas pulled off a great save.

Argentina finally found the net at the 77th minute when Demichelis, who came from Bayern Munich, hit a left-foot shot into the net. The goal put Argentina's coach Diego Maradona into exhilaration.

Messi hit a shot on the post at the 86th minute. The talisman came back again at the 89th minute when his shot was blocked by Tzorvas. Substitute Martin Palermo easily put the ball into the far corner of the net.

Argentina made to the last 16 with three brilliant victories, joined by South Korea, who drew Nigeria 2-2. And Greece and Nigeria were out.
