China beat Kuwait in Asian Cup Group A match

China beat Kuwait 2-0 thanks to two goals from Zhang Linfan and Deng Zhuoxiang in the second half in their Group A match at the Asian Cup here on Saturday.

Kuwait were reduced to 10 men after only 34 minutes as center back Mesad Nada was shown the red card for kicking China's Yang Xu.

Zhang opened the scoring in the 58th minute when he drove the ball into the net just outside the box.

Deng made it 2-0 in the 67th minute on a free kick from 25 meters.
