Corinthians officially sign Adriano

Four days after striker Adriano signed his contract, the Corinthians soccer team officially announced the athlete's arrival on Monday.
The athlete will wear the coveted jersey number 10 and is expected to make his debut in May in the Brazilian Championship. Adriano's contract with Corinthians is good until June 2012.
Recovering from a right shoulder surgery, the athlete is expected to be able to return to practise with the ball sometime next week. Notorious for enjoying the nightlife, Adriano promised that he will use all the negative criticism to fuel his performance on the field.
Additionally, the athlete promised that he is out on a mission to silence the critics. Returning to Brazil, Adriano will not be able to drive. His driver's license was suspended earlier in the year after he refused to take a breathalyzer at a check-point in Rio de Janeiro. His license is suspended for one year and he had to pay the fine of nearly 500 US dollars.
At Corinthians, Adriano will have to battle his way into a starting role. He will compete with Liedson, Dentinho, Jorge Henrique, Willian and Edno.
