Mexican team C.D. Guadalajara or "Chivas" won the Weifang Cup soccer final against China's U-18 team here on Saturday.

The visitors rallied from one goal down to dethrone the Chinese U18 team 3-1 for the 2011 youth soccer title.

In the first half, the Chinese players made more shots than their rivals. Around eight minutes into action, Shi Ke even scored off a corner kick for the Chinese side.

The early goal surely surprised the Mexicans as they stunned the Chinese in the group game.

Then, the Chivas players launched fierce attacks, which resulted in an equalizer in the 25th minute from Mendez Ramos' free kick.

Mexican players seemed excited by the goal, and played even better. At 63rd minute, Michael Ortiz scored another with a penalty.

On the contrary, the Chinese players missed several passes in spite of a series of substitutions in the second half. Around 74 minutes into the game, Julio Zavala sealed the 3-1 win.

Benfica placed third in the eight-team tournament which started on July 31.

Sanchez Castillo, coach of the Chivas, was overcome with what they achieved, saying "I am very satisfied with the boys' performance. They kept going even with a rough start."
