J. R. Smith shoots a ball during a CBA match between Zhejiang Guangsha and Shanghai Sharks on Dec.21, 2011.

J. R. Smith had 35 points and 11 rebounds, and a crucial jump ball, to lead Zhejiang Guangsha to an 89-86 overtime win over Shanghai Sharks at home on Tuesday at the Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA).

Smith held the ball in the air with Shanghai's Zhang Zhaoxu, 2.21 meters high, on the offensive end when the Guangsha led 86-84 with 14.6 seconds to go in the overtime. The referees entitled the ball to the home team and the Sharks had to commit a foul on Guangsha's next possession.

The Guangsha hung on to win their eighth game out of 12 while the Sharks lost their eighth.

It was not a good shooting game for Smith as he was 9-out-of-19 in the field and buried four three-pointers after 11 attempts.

He also missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer in the regular time as the Sharks scored nine straight points to force out a 77-77 game.

The other matches of the 14th round will be played on Wednesday.
