Jeremy Lin, who topped the list of the Time 100 Most Influential People for 2012, will make his third visit to the Chinese mainland this summer.

Lin, whose meteoric rise in the NBA league became the biggest sports story in the world this year, will hold a basketball training camp in China to share his skills to 80 Chinese youths from across the country, Southern Metropolis Daily reported Friday.

The camp starts on June 2 across nine cities including Shenyang, Harbin, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Urumqi, Guangzhou and Dongguan.

Fans in other areas can upload videos of their basketball skills and win votes to become part of the final 80 in Dongguan in August to receive guidance from Lin.

It will be Jeremy Lin's third trip to the Chinese mainland. Last May he visited Pinghu in Zhejiang province where his grandmother was born. He also attended the Asian FIBA Asia Championship as a spectator in Wuhan last September.

Lin is still recovering from surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee on April 2. He could return in the second round of the playoffs, if the Knicks stun the Heats in the first. The playoffs start this weekend.
