Gita garnered most votes that qualified him to lead the PBSI until 2016, to beat his rival, former acclaimed national badminton player Icuk Sugiarto, to seize the chairmanship in the association's congress held in Sept. 21 in Yogyakarta, the Antara news service reported on Friday.
Gita expected to these new recruitment can help bring back the heyday of Indonesian badminton on international stage.
