Park in shock disqualification

Park wins appeal against disqualification.

Defending Olympic champion Park Tae Hwan of South Korea was allowed to compete in the men's 400m freestyle final on Saturday night after winning his appeal against disqualification.

The South Korean was disqualified for a false start in the morning's heats.

A FINA spokesman said the FINA's Jury of Appeal decided to reinstate Park on the recommendation of FINA's technical commission.
