China's swimming sensation Ye Shiwen won her second gold medal of the London Games amid a general outpouring of support from the Olympic community after she found herself at the centre of a doping row.
The 16-year-old clocked an Olympic record of 2:07.57 to add to her gold and world record in the 400m medley.
Australian Alicia Coutts claimed silver in 2:08.15 and American Caitlin Leverenz took bronze in 2:08.95.
