Britain defends men's four rowing title

Reigning Olympic and world champions Britain won the men's four gold at the London Olympic rowing regatta on Eton Dorney Lake on Saturday.

Britain led from the start to finish the race in 6 minutes and 3.97 seconds, edging silver medalists in Beijing Olympics Australia into second place in 6:05.19. The United States took the bronze medal in 6:07.20.

This is the third rowing gold for Britain at the London Games following two golds in women's double sculls and women's pair.
