Defneding champion Victoria Azarenka advanced to the third round at the 2013 Australian Open on Thursday with a straight-set win over Greek Eleni Daniilidou.

The world No. 1 Belarussian lost just one game in the 6-1, 6-0 victory and will next play American Jamie Hampton. Top-seeded Azarenka is possibly to play former world No. 1 Caroline Woziniacki in the quarterfinals as she defends her first Grand Slam title.

Azarenka did not pass up the gift and roared through the opening set in 24 minutes. Daniilidou improved in the second set, hitting more consistently from the back of the court. But it did not derail the No. 1 seed who wrapped up victory in 55 minutes.

"I felt really good. I enjoyed a lot the way I was focused," said Azarenka.
