Antunez retires as Robles' coach

Dayron Robles' trainer Santiago Antunez has announced his retirement as coach but will remain as a supervisor of national hurdlers, the official daily Granma said on Friday.

Antunez, named as the best coach in the world in 2010 by

the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), led Robles to the Olympic gold medal in 2008 and the world record of 12.87 seconds.

Antunez' history of triumphs began in 1986 when he led Emilio del Valle to the 400 meters gold medal at the Youth World Championships.
