Construction of the facilitates for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi will be completed on time, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said Monday.

"Decisions on deadlines for all facilities have been reached. Some are slightly behind schedule, but there's nothing threatening," Kozak told local media in the break of a meeting in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

According to the official, the government would offer additional financial support to state and private investors so as to finish the construction on time.

The new measures would help complete the preparations and construction of the Sochi infrastructure and thus help hold a high-level Olympics, he added.

The country's preparation committee for the Sochi Games said earlier this year Russia had spent 1.1 trillion rubles (36.8 billion U.S. dollars) preparing for the 2014 Games.

The sum of money for the preparation work is expected to reach 1.5 trillion rubles (50.2 billion dollars). More than 70 percent of the facilities required are ready with just over a year to go when the Games start, said the committee.
