New York Knicks lost their top scorer Carmelo Anthony to knee injury in the 102-97 victory over Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points to help the Knicks overcome a double-digit deficit to turn around the game.

Anthony incurred a right knee injury in the second quarter and did not return after tripping over his own feet while trying to catch a long pass at mid-court. He got up, but went straight to the locker room.

Heading into the game, Anthony was tied with Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant as the National Basketball Association's top scorer, averaging 28.6 points per game.

He had six points on just one-of-five shooting before his injury flared on Monday.

Knicks coach Mike Woodson said the knee had been bothering Anthony for a couple of weeks, adding the injury will be re-evaluated Tuesday by team doctors.

Stoudemire tied a season-high 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting for the Knicks who fought back from 22 points down to snap a 10-game losing streak in Cleveland.
