Brazilian club Internacional has denied reports of interest from Liverpool in Brazil striker Leandro Damiao.
Local media on Friday said that Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers was seeking to secure the 24-year-old before Monday's European transfer deadline.
But Internacional football director Luis Cesar Souto de Moura said no contact had been made with any club regarding the forward.
"There has been nothing from England, not even an enquiry," Moura said."Our aim is to hold on to him because he adds quality to our squad."
Damiao has also reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli and Zenith St Petersburg during the transfer period.
He was the leading scorer at last year's London Olympics with six goals, but missed Brazil's triumphant Confederations Cup campaign in June with a right leg injury.
