A charity match between world No 1 Novak Djokovic and Chinese's world No 5 Li Na will be held on Friday at 7:30 pm on Diamond Court. This is the first such event in the 10 year history of the China Open and will feature various entertaining elements to provide the spectators with a splendid tennis feast as well as to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the tournament.

The two popular players will exhibit their skill and their humorous character at the China Open. Djokovic loves to joke around and interact with children and Li is good at working with the crowd and exciting the atmosphere. There's a lot to expect in this exceptional opening event of China Open.

The match takes the ordinary best of three sets but will include some out-of-the-ordinary twists.

In the first two sets Li and Djokovic will be joined by four Chinese junior players, including the well-known ethnic tennis group "Team Pediment" from Yunnan province. Some of the players were selected by applying on Weibo. The two teams will play traditional tennis points and special points with donations made right on the court.

In the final set Li Na will play Djokovic face to face. Li has been planning for the match since the US Open. Some specially modified rules will be allowed in favor of the female player, but Li won't tell what they are until the final moment.
