Olympic swimming champion and world record holder Sun Yang has put himself in a precarious position after being detained for driving without a license. The Chinese swimming sports administrative center decided on Wednesday to expel Sun from the national team.
China.org.cn now takes a look at five star athletes who managed to get themselves expelled from their national teams.

Olympic swimming champion and world record holder Sun Yang has been expelled from the Chinese national swimming team after being detained for driving without a license.
The famous swimmer has also been temporarily banned from training and any commercial activities.
