Pistons hand Nets 5th straight loss

Detroit Pistons handed the Brooklyn Nets the fifth loss in a row after beating the high-spending franchise 109-97 on Sunday.

Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey scored a season-high 27 points. Greg Monroe had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Jennings added 14 points and 10 assists.

Joe Johnson hit eight three-pointers to score a personal season-high 34 points. Paul Pierce added 19.

The Nets moved down to the 14th place in the Eastern Conference ranking after the loss.
