Bayern's captain Philipp Lahm will be out of action for two matches owing to an injury, the Bavarians said in an official statement on Thursday.

The German giants will be without the German international defender, who pulled a hamstring in his right thigh during the UEFA Champions League encounter against CSKA Moskva on Wednesday. Therefore Lahm will the Bundesliga match against Braunschweig and next week's German Cup fixture against Augsburg.

Thus, Bayern extend their injury list with another name as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Franck Ribery, Claudio Pizzaro, Xherdan Shaqiri and Holger Badstuber are already out of action.

The "FCB" sit currently atop the Bundesliga standings with a four-point lead, followed by Leverkusen and Dortmund.
