Yi Jianlian helps Guangdong edge Bayi 77-75

Yi Jianlian, who hit the last-second shot, lifted Guangdong Hongyuan to a 77-75 win over Bayi Fubang in the 15th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Yi finished with 34 points and 21 rebounds and Joshua Powell scored 12 points. Bayi's Xu Zhonghao had 30 points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocks, the veteran center Wang Zhizhi scored 14 points, Yang Qin and Delehi combined with 22 points.

Guangdong trailed by as much as 18 at the end of the third quarter. In the last quarter, Guangdong's players seemed to resume their shooting touch but players from Bayi lowered their guard and wasted the opportunity to end its five-straight losing streak.

Damien Wilkins, in place of injured Stephon Marbury scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Beijing Ducks clinched a 97-74 home victory over Sichuan Jinqiang

Beijing's Sun Yue finished with 17 points, seven boards and eight assists, Randolph Morris contributed 12 points and nine rebounds and Zhang Songtao added 12 points.

Sichuan's Michael Efevberha scored a team-high 12 points, and Jia Cheng and D.J. White combined with 21 points.

Both teams started slow and Sichuan led the score at the beginning of the first period. Sun Yue's key 3-pointer and Wilkins's dunk helped the Ducks settle the score and Beijing led the rest of the game.

In other games, Fujian SBS beat Tianjin Ronggang 118-117, Dongguan Marco Polo downed Zhejiang Guangsha 126-109, Xinjiang Guanghui defeated Shandong Gold 85-82 and Liaoning Hengye were 128-116 winners over Qingdao Doublestares.

In Thursday' s games, Jiangsu Dragons defeat Foshan Long Lions 105-94, Jilin Northeast Tigers edged Shanxi Fenjiu 99-94 and Yao Ming-owned Shanghai Sharks was beaten 104-98 by Zhejiang Chouzhou .
