Beijing Ducks' former NBA player Stephon Marbury was ejected from his first game following a long battle with injuries as the host team edged Shandong Gold 99-95 on Wednesday, ending its five-game losing streak in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

"The mind is right and the body is ready for war! I've waited a long time to get back on the court and tonight is the night," said Marbury on his Weibo account before Wednesday's game.

Marbury was injured in the game against Jiangsu Dragons in November 2013 and had missed 20 rounds of the regular season since.

Marbury could hardly enjoy his return game as he was expelled for his second technical foul in the third quarter before bagging nine points and sevenm assists.

The other Beijing players performed well, not affected by Marbury's foul-out. Sun Yue scored a buzzer-beating three pointer in the third quarter and finished with nine points and six assists. Li Gen scored 26 points, Randolph Morris helped with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Ji Zhe added 20 points.

Defending champion Guangdong Hongyuan easily defeated the bottom team Qingdao Doublestars 104-74, extending its winning streak to 11 games.

Qingdao's Peter Ramos had 25 points and eight rebounds and Sani Sakakini helped with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Guangdong's Yi Jianlian finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds while Zhou Peng contributed 22 points and Joshua Powell added 13 points and seven boards.

Elsewhere, Xinjiang Guanghui beat Foshan Long Lions 109-101; Dongguan Marco Polo edged Shanxi Fenjiu 106-101; Zhejiang Guangsha topped Jiangsu Dragons 122-114; Sichuan Jinqiang downed Bayi Fubang 119-115; Liaoning Hengye defeated Shanghai Sharks 104-94; Jilin Notheast Tigers overcame Fujian SBS 117-97.

In Tuesday's game, Sebastian Telfair posted a season-high 53 points, five boards and seven assists in Tianjin Ronggang's 128-108 road victory over Zhejiang Chouzhou.
